As of the end of May 2019, Toshiba Mitsubishi Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (hereinafter, \u201cTMEIC\u201d; President & CEO Masahiko Yamawaki) achieved 1.4GW in cumulative shipments of its PV inverters for the Vietnamese market for solar power generating systems.<\/p>\n
The Vietnam government has set the target of increasing renewable energy, which accounts for less than 0.1% of among total electric power generation as of 2014, to 21% by 2030 and enforced the Feed in Tariff (FIT) scheme in June 2017 to promote this initiative.<\/p>\n
Specifically, in terms of solar power generation, power plants generating approximately 2.9GW (DC basis) are expected to operate from early 2017 to the end of 2019
