TMEIC Receives the 2016 Global Company of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan for the Third Year in a Row

Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (hereinafter, “TMEIC”; President & CEO Masahiko Yamawaki) received the 2016 Global Company of the Year Award in the PV inverter category for the third consecutive year. This top honor was presented by the major research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan based in California in the United States. Frost & Sullivan generates business growth initiatives globally with an emphasis on market research, analysis and consulting.

The firm bestows Company of the Year awards annually based on independent industry research that recognizes regional or global performance excellence. Receiving an award that recognizes companies globally is a high honor. TMEIC initially won the Global Company of the Year Award in 2014 as the first Japanese entity and has since received this prestigious award for the third year in a row.

Frost & Sullivan presented this year’s award in recognition of various factors, including TMEIC’s introduction of advanced solutions that anticipate market needs and sales and product strategies that flexibly respond to market trends in Japan and around the world. The Company was also evaluated in terms of global development of its production and supply strategies through the establishment of multiple overseas manufacturing bases that yield high-quality products and services on par with the technology, skills and quality of mother factories in Japan. Among other considerations, TMEIC was also acknowledged for its efforts toward reducing environmental loads at its global manufacturing bases.
