TMEIC India welcomes Mr. Hidekazu Matsushima as new Managing Director
TMEIC Industrial Systems India Private Limited (hereinafter, “TMEIC India”) a Group company of TMEIC Corporation, Japan (hereinafter, “TMEIC”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hidekazu Matsushima as the new Managing Director, effective April 1, 2024.
Mr. Matsushima has been associated with Mitsubishi Electric FA division for domestic market in Japan since the year 1991 and been assigned in Industrial division in 1994, where he rolled out his mission of sales, marketing and business development of General industry (GI) such as paper, film, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, cement, food, automobile, semiconductor industries in Japan.
During the establishment of TMEIC in Japan in 2003, Mr. Matsushima was assigned with the responsibility for domestic GI market Sales in Japan HQ, and then in plant & energy sales department to promote HV/MV/LV Switchgears & Transformer, Motors & Drives, Generator, UPS, and DCS etc. for Industrial power. Oil & Gas, and GI plant through Japanese EPCs.
Later TMEIC developed and launched the Large Motor & Drive system in 2009 for the global Oil & Gas Industry. Mr. Matsushima was assigned to launch the sales & engineering office in Houston, Texas, USA in 2010 as Business Development Director to create new business of Oil & Gas and other General industries in North America and Global market. As part of his global business development role, he successfully expanded the business leveraging rapid market growth by the shale gas development in North America.
Returning to Japan in 2016, he was assigned as department manager in Global business development to grow the business of Motors & Drives, Generator, Switchgears, Power Electronics products in collaboration with overseas operations of TMEIC group company as Global General Industry chairman. Mr. Matsushima launched a new department to promote Motor & Drive products mainly for pump & fan applications in Oil & Gas, Water, Desalination, Power, and other GI market globally as part of his mission since 2019.
In 2022, he assumed his second overseas role as a Senior Executive Vice President, overseeing the development of TMEIC's business in India. He will now lead efforts to expand the business in India's rapidly growing domestic market and globally, positioning India as the hub for TMEIC's global operations.
