TMEIC Newly Establishes Office in Hanoi, Vietnam to Expand Business in Southeast Asia

Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (hereinafter, “TMEIC”; President & CEO Masahiko Yamawaki) has newly established an office in Hanoi, Vietnam. The office opened in April 2019 under the umbrella of Singapore-based TMEIC Asia Pte. Ltd. and is the fourth business site in Southeast Asia following Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

Industrial and social infrastructure development are progressing in Vietnam on the back of stable economic growth. Further development is anticipated in the infrastructure field including various initiatives planned by 2030 such as the introduction of solar power generation of 12GW. With the opening of the new office and its capability in expanding its high-performance and high-efficiency products and system solutions in Southeast Asian markets, including power electronics such as PV inverters for large photovoltaic power generation systems and industrial motors, TMEIC will aggressively pursue business development in the Vietnamese market.
